How common?

I read that Miss California lost the Miss USA crown… because she doesn’t believe in gay marriage.  When asked if all states should legalize gay marriage, she stated that people have the right to choose, but she believes that marriage is between a man and a woman.

Is there a backlash for not agreeing with the perceived ‘politically correct’ answer?  Is personal opinion no longer a personal right?

  1. I suppose it’s life. You give your opinion and you deal with the consequences.
It may have cost her the crown. But it didn’t cost her her pride.
On the other hand, I was glad there was a little glimpse into the always hypocritical world of Gay Activism…
    Just my opinion. 🙂

  2. Oh… oops! That response was from ME!

  3. Actually… that’s the hypocritical view of Liberalism. Of course… there’s always the hypocritical view of conservatism… I just can’t think of an example at the moment. 🙂
